A BBC Radio 4 appeal in aid of INF has raised over £10,000. The appeal, which was broadcast in the UK on 3 February, aimed to raise funds to provide wheelchairs to children in Nepal with cerebral palsy.

The success of the appeal will enable INF's Green Pastures Hospital and Rehabilitation Centre to order, and specially fit, at least 50 wheelchairs.

Delighted by the success of the appeal, Paul Roche, INF's superintendent at Green Pastures, explains the difference a wheelchair can make:

"We have seen the changes in the lives of children with cerebral palsy and their families brought about by having a wheelchair, which allows the children to sit upright. Eye contact with family members is made possible, the child can move themself and they can interact with the world around them.

"A wheelchair allows them to go to school and play with other children in their community.

"The wheelchair gives dignity, independence and hope for the future."

If you would like to, you can still give to the appeal through the INF donate page or by contacting your local INF office.

If you missed the appeal you can still listen to it via the BBC Radio 4 Appeal website.

Here at INF, we are thankful for all the donations that we have received so far and are grateful to Anne Wafula Strike for presenting the appeal!
